Liver Fluke Warnings

Recent data gathered by the Dunbia abattoir in West Wales shows very high levels of liver condemnation due to liver fluke. In the period from July to December 2011, just over 18% of livers were affected, with a peak in September of 30%. At the Lancashire abattoir during the same period the figures was 6.6%. This emphasises the need for sheep farmers to be aware of the risk of fluke on their farms and plan treatment strategies carefully Follow the link for more on this story:
